All I have to do is love David and buy anything related to him (his downloads, albums, books, posters, concert tickets, anything else available that I personally wish to have). And those of us with the time (or even with the lack of it) blog and/or tweet about him.
Everything else (such as PROMOTIONS) is the job of label and management.
Seems to me, if a certain marketing direction isn’t panning out, it’s time to go back to the drawing board.
I mean, if certain persons are taking time out to communicate with fans, they’re doing the wrong things. Instead of giving us instructions – CALL INTO RADIO STATIONS, WRITE LETTERS! – they need to be surveying us and asking questions: you know, actually find out that most of David’s fans ARE NOT TEN YEAR OLDS!
Maybe, then, they’ll get a clue about how best to promote him.
